We fund efforts to protect hobby fireworks from excessive regulation and bureuacracy.
We promote fireworks clubs that train hobbyists in the art, science, and techniques of fireworks.
We manage financial resources to ensure that hobby fireworks can be sustained for future generations.
We are a charitable, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization that can accept tax deductable donations.
The Fireworks Foundation gets the majority of its funding from generous donations. These donations are used to preserve the fireworks hobby in many different ways. As a not-for-profit corporation, any donations to the organization are tax deductible for the donor. In congruence with IRS regulations, the Fireworks Foundation treasurer can provide donors of amounts exceeding $250 a letter documenting receipt of the donation.
You can donate to the Fireworks Foundation with a credit card via PayPal, or you can write a check and mail it to the Fireworks Foundation Treasurer. All donations to the fund are used at the discretion of the board. If you prefer that your donation be used for a specific issue, then please write the name of the issue in the memo area of the check or in the comments section for the online transaction.

Mike Swisher, TreasurerThe Fireworks Foundation also accepts donations of appreciated stock. The advantage of this type of donation is the donor gets a tax deduction for the current value of the stock, rather than for his basis in it, and does not have to pay capital gains tax on the difference. His donation is therefore leveraged as compared to cash.
